Update Brings 2x Portrait Zoom To Samsung Galaxy S23 Series

Samsung is working on a camera update for the Galaxy S23 devices, which will bring a new function. It is a special portrait zoom function that makes it possible to zoom in 2x.

Currently, the Galaxy S23 smartphones in portrait mode allow you to switch between 1x zoom or 3x zoom, with the camera switching between the main and telephoto lens. The next camera update will add another 2x zoom mode to portrait mode. The 2x zoom mode uses the main lens in combination with digital zoom and AI techniques.

The expanded portrait mode will be rolled out first to the Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and the Galaxy S23 Ultra. Samsung may also roll out the feature to other smartphones at a later date. However, it is still unclear when Samsung will make the update available.
