Google is rolling out an update to the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7, which should improve the battery life of the smartphones. Both devices have recently suffered from a remarkably quickly draining battery. After installing the new update, this issue should be resolved.
Google has indicated to the website 9to5Google that a number of Pixel smartphones do indeed suffer from battery problems. The manufacturer has therefore rolled out an update to address these issues. This is a server-side update that will be automatically installed on the smartphones. So users don’t have to check for updates themselves.
The May security update, which rolled out to the Pixel smartphones on May 12, appears to be the cause of the battery issues. Some users report that the battery life of their Pixel smartphone has halved and therefore did not make it through the day.
