Dylan Vente, trained by reigning national champion Feyenoord, was allowed to raise his hands in the air no less than 34 times in the past two seasons at Kitchen Champion Division club Roda JC. A double as top scorer. Despite a one-year contract in Kerkrade, the goalgetter now wants to try his luck elsewhere. A logical decision, only there is one more but for the striker that can serve as an obstacle: the Limburgers are entitled to a transfer fee.
“I am ready for a new, next step.” With those eight words, the 24-year-old Vente spoke clear language after the last game at home against play-offs participant Willem II. The former Feyeno player, persuaded a few years ago by the then director of Roda JC Jeffrey van As to give his career in South Limburg a boost did not hide the fact that he wants to embark on a new adventure next season.
Orientation phase
Together, incidentally, with his girlfriend whom he met in the deep south of the Netherlands. Sources around the small spire indicate that Vente is currently orienting himself. There is already indirect interest. “Like many, clubs have also seen what Dylan can do and therefore achieved in the past season.” Where Roda secretly hoped a little bit that the attacker would serve out his contract in the Parkstad Limburg Stadium, that is no longer an option.
The point is that the leadership of Roda can still have a big finger in the milk with regard to the next club where Vente wants to let it go. This has to do with the fact that the Kerkrade club, given the one-year contract of the goalgetter, is entitled to a transfer fee. The fact is that Roda JC can use the money all too well to have a better chance of promotion to the Eredivisie next season.
So Vente certainly won’t go elsewhere for a tip. A transfer fee of around one million euros is mentioned in the corridors, although general manager of Roda Jordens Peters has never confirmed that amount. The fact that the Limburg KKD club can ask for money for Dylan Vente at all has already deterred several interested clubs to date.
“Clubs are dropping out because of this”, it sounds around Vente, who just missed out on the top scorer title in the Kitchen Champion Division this season. However, the striker himself has made quite a bit of progress in recent years, so a move to a new club at a higher level should be an expected step. For a certain amount, but then both the striker and Roda JC are satisfied.
