Tournament win in Luxembourg for Alyssa Tirtosentono and Kirsten de Wit

You the news, we a bit!

Tirtosentono and De Wit (WR71) kicked off in the d’Coque Center National Sportif & Culturel during the women’s doubles final. From 11-11 in the first game, the Dutch ladies ran out to 21-14.

It was in the second game that Alyssa and Kirsten seemed completely off track. Amalcie Cecilie Kudsk and Signe Schulz from Denmark (WR87) immediately took a 0-4 lead and did not relinquish it: 8-21.

In the final game, both couples were close to each other with 11-10 on the switch of half. The Papendallers always kept the lead and sometimes the Scandinavians came back to a draw. From 19-19 onwards, Tirtosentono and De Wit needed two won rallies to win the tournament. The former celebrated this fact in its own, characteristic way.
