Top scorer in the making (?) speaks out about the importance of Golden Bull and future after this summer

Hugo Cuypers managed to make his 23rd of the season in the competition against Cercle Brugge. Ayase Ueda had taken care of his 21st from the spot ten minutes earlier.

And so it will be another battle for both strikers against Westerlo and Standard. Other pursuers Vincent Janssen (18) and Emmanuel Gift Orban (15) are basically way too far with barely 180 minutes to go.

“I want to go into the holiday with a good feeling. And then such a top scorer title can help, yes. I want to grab it now.”

No departure wish

With his European goals, the striker is now at thirty this year. “That’s a boost.”

Yet he does not necessarily want to leave the Ghelamco Arena: “We are also playing European again, those are things that play a role.”
