In some classes this weekend is already the last round of play. Jisp, Westzaan and Zaandijk have a very exciting final day, where they can reach the promotion competitions. However, the last two teams are not yet definitively safe.
Hercules Zaandam can already win a period title this weekend with two games to go.
3rd class Saturday
Just like the Sunday selection, OFC’s Saturday team also threatens direct relegation. Since competitor VVA/Spartaan has a better goal difference and still has to play against the already relegated ZVC’22, 3 points at Volewijckers are almost necessary.
4th grade Saturday
Blauw Wit W is still not definitively safe with two games to go. It has a 4 point lead, but still has a tough schedule with this weekend number 3 SVW’27 and the derby against ZCFC. One of the competitors for the number 8 is Sporting Krommenie (sat) that will play against champion Foresters on Saturday. The first concern for the Krommenians, however, is to prevent direct degradation.
5th grade Saturday
To reach the promotion matches to the 4th class, vv Jisp must at least draw against competitor DTA Fortius. Earlier this season, Peter Tania’s team managed to win 2-5 against the team from Amsterdam.
1st class Sunday
VV Assendelft now has to fear direct relegation and will look for the 3 much needed points against Kolping Boys. Fortuna W. is doing a lot better and still has a chance to win a period title. It has to beat champion HBC if they want to be able to play for something in the last round.
2nd class Sunday
KFC also has a theoretical chance of reaching the promotion competitions, but is dependent on the results of the competitors. It must win at least 2 more times, starting on Sunday against number 6 Medemblik. Saenden can already prepare for the playoffs against relegation and receives Enkhuizen.
3rd class Sunday
Hercules Zaandam has 1 point against number 5 Zwanenburg on Sunday to be allowed to participate in the promotion games to the 2nd class. Sporting Krommenie and RCZ are not yet definitively safe and can use the points hard in the battle to avoid the playoffs. Sporting awaits a tough away game at the number 3 Swift, while the Racers receive competitor TOG.
4th grade Sunday
Thanks to an impressive series of 6 wins in 7 games, Westzaan rose from 10th to 4th place and has everything in its own hands to reach the promotion games on Sunday. A win at Heemstede is enough.
Zaandijk also has a chance to win the promotion competitions, but is still dependent on the competitors in the event of a victory over Onze Gezellen. However, the differences in the 4th division are so small that both teams are not yet definitively safe.
