Feyenoord has a message for ‘bad buy’

Róbert Boženík will not return to Feyenoord next summer. The team from Rotterdam is renting the attacker to the Portuguese Boavista this season, but the team from Rotterdam no longer sees a future in the Slovak.

Portuguese future for Boženík?

1908.nl reports that the striker has been told by the national champion that he no longer has to report in preparation for the new season. Boženík still has a one-year contract with Feyenoord, but can look for another employer, according to the medium.

The Slovak is rented out this season to Boavista, which would be plagued by serious financial problems. For example, the salaries of the players have not been paid for several months. The Portuguese do have a purchase option on the striker, but the chance seems small that it will be lifted.

The 23-year-old attacker came to 22 games for Boavista this season and scored twice. Boženík is reportedly doing well in Portugal, where Porto, Benfica and Famalicão, among others, are interested in acquiring the attacker.

Do Emmen and Feyenoord play a draw?

*Odds are subject to change.

Is it logical that Feyenoord let Boženík go?

  • Yes, that’s not good enough

  • No, they can still give them a chance
