Captain Kemper will play his last game for ADO tonight: ‘I haven’t heard anything after that’

Jong AZ – ADO Den Haag is not only the last league game of this season, but also the last game for ADO captain Boy Kemper in The Hague’s service. The defender’s contract expires at the end of June and there is currently no prospect of a longer stay. ‘I would have liked to have played a hundred matches for ADO, the counter now hangs at 95.’

Kemper continues: ‘To reach those hundred games, we should have reached the play-off final this season. That didn’t work out and I think that’s a pity, because a hundred matches for a club like ADO would have been nice, of course.’

ADO Den Haag tried months ago to bind the Volendammer to the club longer, but Kemper rejected the proposal that was on the table. ‘Before the winter break I received a new offer from ADO, personally I thought that didn’t inspire much confidence. I then indicated what I thought of that proposal. After that I didn’t hear from ADO again.’

Where the future of the 23-year-old footballer lies is not yet known. ‘Wherever I go, my ideal picture is to join in preparation. Is there already interest? Yes. There are some clubs from the premier league that have inquired.’
